PRACTICING WELLBEING

A CONSCIOUS, SELF-DIRECTED, AND EVOLVING PROCESS FOR ACHIEVING YOUR FULL POTENTIAL

Why Wellness Matters

Maintaining an optimal level of wellness is absolutely crucial to live a higher quality of life. Wellness matters because everything we do and every emotion we feel relates to our well-being. In turn, our well-being directly affects our actions and emotions. It’s an ongoing circle. Therefore, everyone should aim to achieve optimal wellness to release stress, reduce the risk of illness and ensure positive interactions.

Creating Balance for Wellness

Creating balance in our lives is an important part of wellness. A balanced life can mean many things, depending on culture, lifestyle, resources, and other factors, but in general it means allowing necessary changes and making time to do the things that make us happy and fulfilled.

This includes working, spending time with family and friends, participating in the community, having hobbies, being physically active, relaxing, eating and sleeping well, and having fun! Sometimes we allow external factors to take-over and drive us away from our happiness and wellbeing.

These simples steps can help you manage your day better and Improve Your Wellness

1. Explore your core values and journey so far

By exploring your core, you are simply asking yourself questions about the person you are and ensuring you are aligned with your life destination. Are you taking the time to determine what values, principles, and beliefs are important to you? Are you driving your actions and thoughts to give a more profound meaning to your life? What do you really want and what these “wants” will bring you in terms of happiness and fulfillment? These questions will lead you to deeper self-knowledge, self-acceptance and allow you to live more consciously and in the present.

2. Be the author and artist of your life

Searching for deeper meaning in your life and analyzing re-occurring patterns that you no-longer want, will help you identify what areas are outmoded and what changes you need to introduce to increase your happiness. You have choices. Being aware of this can help you achieve a happier and healthier life curated by you.

3. Be active and eat well.

Our physical wellbeing includes exercise, even if gentle walking, and eating nutritious food every day. We are what we eat.

4. Express yourself

Communicating kindly and effectively with others allows you to express yourself even in difficult circumstances rather than keeping inside frustrations that lead to unhappiness and eventually to ailments. You can start by writing down in a diary your thoughts and what you want to express to others. This will help you think clearer and express yourself with more confidence.

5. Take up a Hobby

Hobbies provide an excellent vehicle for social interaction and relationship building. Hiking groups, attending workshops or classes are all examples of organized groups centered around a particular interest or activity. Hathor Quantum Healing delivers exciting workshops for you to learn more about fascinating subjects related to health and empowerment.

Having that common ground with others is the ultimate ice breaker and can be a catalyst for forming new bonds. Also, it has been shown that hobbies can provide a boost in confidence and self-esteem, which are key factors in improving your social life.

6. Think positively

Weeding out the negative thoughts and words will enrich your life for certain. Leaving space for the positiveness and gratefulness can bring the changes you desire.

7. Take time to meditate

Finding time for yourself can be hard at the beginning. One way to make sure that you get at least a little time to yourself each day is to plan and stick some "non-negotiable" downtime activities in your diary. It is crucial to devote time to yourself. Take five to 10 minutes each day for staters and incorporate mediation or/and workouts that will add to your wellness.

8. Practice gratefulness

Sit down daily and think through five to ten things you are grateful for. The trick is that you need to picture it in your mind and sit with that feeling of gratitude in your body. Try to smile when you do this. Doing this every day will rewire your brain to be naturally more grateful, and you’ll start feeling happier after every session. It only takes eight weeks of gratitude practice for people to start showing changed brain patterns that lead to greater empathy and happiness.
